SCENE 10

Greetings, fellow readers!

The most important aspect about this scene is the little seed that Koda planted in Maren's head. Sure, there's a bit of world building and backstory development, which is all important, but that was just me skimming the surface of much larger issues. Those will be explored in greater detail with time.

The seed, however, is important for the present. Koda, being Koda, was ready to drop the whole case and move on with his life. He was prepared to calm Mav down and simply end it all.

But now, he sees a way for his friend to leave a life that Koda believes is not meant for him. Without this scene, and Koda playing through that scenario in his head, then this story wouldn't be able to go anywhere.

So, in a way, this scene is pivotal, and what I believe to be a good set-up for future events.
