Greetings, fellow readers!
Mav is a fun character. To write and (from what I've heard from others so far) to read. He's definitely the easiest character of the three to write. There was only one scene with him where I've had difficulty, but that had to do with what the plot necessitated and not him as a character. He's what you get when you put a traditional anime protagonist in a story and I love him for it.
That's it. That's the reflection, really. I wasn't entirely sure originally where to put his first POV, but I think an action sequence fits him perfectly. Sure, we saw a tiny skirmish in the first scene, but that was put there to display a bit of how the magic system works. Now, we can see how Flame Dancers react to using their own Gift, but Mav's straightforward nature and movements, I think, are what really shines here (that, and his tendency to yell out names for his attacks).
This week will be more action packed, and the stories begin to converge. I hope you all enjoy it!
